Conger Eel
Fishing Brighton
These are the real prehistoric monsters of the deep and you need to be fit to bring one of these on board. Once hooked they never stop fighting and with their ability to swim backwards they are formidable prey. We fish for Conger when we have a weak tide and slack water about midday. Some of the wrecks off Brighton hold monsters upto 90 lbs and we know where they are.
The method we use is to anchor near a wreck and fish back into it using a running ledger rig with mackerel or cuttle fish as a bait.
Normally we return all fish after weighing and photos.
As this time of year is very busy, check our Availability Chart or Contact Us in plenty of time to charter our boat out of Brighton Marina.
